  1. I agree that Jesus came here on earth to become an inverse. An inverse is the opposite and he wanted to come here on earth to show us the way to god. By showing that way is to be an inverse (the opposite). The opposite of what people did, they didn’t do the right things so Jesus tried to show them the way. People didn’t know how to follow God so they made up their own way by doing the opposite of what Jesus was doing. Jesus showed us the way how to follow God, but to this day we still go our own little ways. By Jesus being the inverse we should look up to him that we should be the opposite of what the other people are doing. By trying to become the inverse ourselves will make us not only a better person but a better follower to God. But trying to become like Jesus in following what he did is not easy. I also think that God put us here on earth so it would be hard for us to follow him. Its not an easy job to be a full Christian but I thank God that Jesus died for us so he can forgive us.

  2. Jesus definitely came to Earth to be an inverse. An inverse of a given function is the opposite of it. Jesus was the opposite of what other people at that time though a Messiah would be. The Jews believed that the Messiah would be a great military leader and deliver them from the Romans through battle. Instead Jesus came as a teacher and a preacher, which was the inverse of what the Jews imagined. Jesus was also against violence of any kind, which to the Jews who expected to have a bloody war against the Roman came as a great surprise. Jesus was also a king and the popular belief was that kings were supposed to sacrifice their subjects to save themselves. Jesus instead sacrificed himself for us his subjects to save us. Instead of creating an eternal kingdom on earth, which was what every Jew thought he would do, he created an eternal kingdom in heaven. Jesus was definitely an inverse of what the Jews thought he would be but that was not such a bad thing after all. Thanks to Jesus being an inverse we now have eternal life in heaven.

  3. I believe Jesus came to earth to be an inverse to sin. He died for our sins so we could have a chance to spend eternity with him. He undid the cycle of sin and death. Jesus made a way for us to go to heaven. He undoes sin and wraps us with love. I agree with the statement that Jesus came to earth to be an inverse. He is opposite sin. He took our sin upon his back. He died for us all. He truly loved us.

  4. I do believe Jesus was sent to Earth as an inverse. Jesus was sent here to show the people the way to God. Jesus accomplished this by being the opposite of the people (an inverse). Jesus had to be an inverse because the people he preached to could not follow his teachings. Words had little effect on the people because they were caught up in their own lives. By doing the opposite of what people were doing at the time, Jesus showed the people to how to act righteously and follow God’s path. Jesus wanted to save everyone and be teach them to be righteous, Jesus knew that by showing people instead of telling people they would be able to follow him better. Even today, people still need to be shown not just told to follow Jesus. Jesus’ actions and teachings can still be considered an inverse of society today. At first, Jesus does not look like an inverse, however the deeper we look the more inverse-like qualities we see that Jesus expresses.

  5. I agree with the statement that Jesus came to Earth to be an inverse. To be an inverse is to be reversed in position, order, direction, or tendency. Jesus’ lifestyle, His teachings, and His actions were usually considered odd and outlandish. His thought was very different to the popular thought of the day. The Jews and those who had studied the scriptures and prophecies of the Old Testament expected a king who would overthrow the tyranny of the Romans, but instead, He walked around the countryside and taught those who were with Him. Even His disciples were often confused about the meaning of his words and ideas. Still today, people are constantly discussing His ideas because they are so different from our human tendencies and iniquities. He taught love, mercy, and faith, but our world would rather have our focus be on money, lust, and the furthering of our own lives and agendas. As you can see, Jesus came to be an inverse in not just that time period, but this one as well.

  6. I disagree with statement. I do not believe that Jesus came to the earth to be an inverse. He came to the earth to fulfill the prophecies. His purpose was not to come and be the opposite of everyones expectations, he simply came to fulfill the Old Testament prophecies. He was not exactly what the people had expected or wanted, but he had nothing to do with this. The people pictured him as someone that he was not. Jesus did not come to earth with intention of letting the people down. The fact that he came as a normal person, instead of a great king, was not intended to let people down. If he had come as a great King the prophecies would not have been fulfilled. He became an inverse while on earth, but that was not his objective in coming. He came to be a savior, not an inverse.

  7. I agree with the following question that Jesus came to this earth to pose as an inverse. Jesus appeared to look the same as all of us to because he came in human form. However, he is the opposite. Jesus had to be an inverse because we were not following God’s word and he needed to direct us onto the right path. We as sinners know some of our daily actions are unchristian and by following Jesus (the inverse) will show us the right way. Another reason why Jesus is considered an inverse is he came to teach us about salvation instead of doing good works. He wants us to be followers of Christ so even though many thought of him as weird and odd it didn’t matter to him. An inverse is opposite of a function. It clearly stands out and is easy to find. Jesus represents this because he is a figure that stands out and is opposite from everyone.

  8. Jesus came here as an inverse because he is God and God is perfect. He was perfect but came into sinful world, so he was opposite or an inverse of the world. When Adam and Eve sinned, they created a barrier between us and God. So when Jesus came, he broke that barrier by being perfect in a sinful world. He was an inverse by bring perfect into a sinful world.
Also, he was an inverse because he did opposite of what the world expected and did not follow their expectations. Everyone thought he was going to be a great king that would destroy the Romans. However, he is a king but he came to reach out to everyone such as lepers, prostitutes, blind, healed, sick, poor, and much more. People were so used to a king picking the best warriors, councilmen, and people to work for his kingdom. Jesus was the inverse of their expectations by choosing fisherman, hated tax men, doctors, and persecutors. He was an inverse by not following their expectations.

  9. Humans are naturals at inverses, and they just don’t know it. When it comes to inverses I think of the opposite, change or when y takes the place of x. Something has to take the place of something or when something is being undone, if you will. When Jesus came to earth to be an inverse, he was actually taking the place of another; man. Jesus loves us enough to die on the cross for the remission of our sins. Basically Jesus came to take the place of man on the cross. In other words, Jesus is the inverse of man. Humans most likely are naturals at inverses and God plays a role in all that. He sent his son to be an inverse for us and he created the world in a couple of days, he’s pretty cool if you ask me.
