  1. I disagree with the statement that God likes to use radians more than degrees. I think that God likes to use both radians and degrees equally. Humans on the other hand in math classes, and in the real world end up choosing between the two, and pick a favorite that they will use more. I think this idea of humans picking a favorite but God being equal can be related to how both God and humans relate to other humans. Humans pick and choose who to have relationships with, they pick favorites. God doesn’t pick and choose, He loves all people equally, and He uses all types of humans no matter how different. Even though picking radians over degrees or vice versa may be easier, God doesn’t pick the easier choice He uses both equally. Humans find the easier choice and whenever possible use that choice over the other. In comparison with both the idea of relationships and the idea of radians and degrees, it is apparent the difference between humans and God. Humans choose based on want and what is easiest, God chooses based on equality and not what is easiest or best. Looking at how God relates to humans therefore shows that God does not like to use radians more than degrees.

  2. I agree that God uses radiance more then degrees. The main reason why radiance is used more then degrees is because radiance is a lot easier to write and calculate. Calculations in radiance are also a lot more exact and accurate then calculations in degrees. For example it is a lot easier to write 1π/2 then 1.5707796… The degrees calculation is not exact if you round up and you can’t write the whole number since it goes forever. Using radiance also puts things into prospective. You will most likely have no idea were the 1.5707796… came from but when you convert it into radiance you can see that π is the reason why the number goes forever. It is also because of π why in degrees you can’t calculate the exact number. It is also just a lot simpler for mathematicians and chemist to use radiance for calculations since everything in degrees can be converted to radiance. God might not but we might just get rid of degrees all together, and simply use radiance for all our math needs.

  3. I do not agree with this statement because I think that God wouldn't want to use the one more then the other. He wouldn't want to use radians more than degrees because I think he would like them equally. He would like them equal just as he wouldn't like us as one human more than the other. This is because to me God doesn't pick favorites, and he likes or loves everything the same! Me as a human I like one more then the other (degrees) because one is easyer than the other. That is just another way to show God doesn't like one more than the other because he knows all so they would both be easy from him. So as humans we are always choosing or we like something more than the other, but this is because we are selfish and sinful. God is no of these things he is perfect and he loves (or likes) everything the same. So therefor to me God does not like to use radians more then dagrees. "for God so loved the world." (part of John 3:16)

  4. God likes to use radians more than degrees in many ways. God puts us in real life situations for us to solve on our own. These real life situations make us think and they give us a challenge to figure out. If life was easy God would make it in degrees. With radians there are more ways to solve life. God puts ups and downs in our life as well. Just the way that there are peaks in a Radian graph. Also in a "radian life" if can start anywhere. You life could start in your lowest point in life or in you highest part in life. Life is also continious and radians are neverending.

  5. I personally believe that God wouldn’t really care about radians and degrees because why would he need math? If he wants to build something, he’d create it out of his own will like he did the rest of existence. I prefer to use degrees because they’re not involving fractions of π and are stretched over a longer period. Standard waves in radians are over the period of 2π which equals 6.283185…. BLAH BLAH BLAH, a degree wave is over 360°, which I think is much simpler than 2π. Points on the degree waves are also integers, not fractions like radian waves. Since the degree wave is stretched, you can find values more accurately than on radian waves. Altering degree waves is also simpler because, again, there’s no fraction to compensate for in the calculation of the period. Horizontal translation is also easier because the values your using are whole, not fractions of π. In the end, I find degrees to be easier to use than radians.

  6. I disagree with the statement because if this is the same God I have come to know, then He would not choose one over the other. He would use both radians and degrees alike and equally. It has been said that God is a merciful and a just God. When sin entered and destroyed the world, God gave us (humans) another chance for ALL to be able to reach his kingdom. The same goes for radians and degrees. He would pick and choose who to use but use both equally and I would think that both would be beneficial to him anyways because the more the merrier. Just like us (humans), God wants all of us to reach his kingdom because after all, the more the merrier! Just like the book of John 3 verse 16, “For God so loved the world…” and this all includes radians and degrees

  7. God doesn’t have a preference to mathematical terms. He doesn’t care if we measure everything in degrees or radians. He simply wants us to use what we he has given us to proclaim his glory and spread his word. If we use a radian God will not smite a person based on the way they figure equations. God created everything and is able to bend the fabric of time and make degrees or radians whatever he wants. Math to God has no boundaries of choosing degrees or radians because, He is the boundary. God only cares about our love for him and if we continue to tell others about his love. Math is immaterial to Him because he created math. He created everything we use and all the praise and glory should go to Him. God doesn’t prefer either degrees or radians.

  8. I don’t agree with this statement because I believe that they were both created equally by God. Even thou they are different, they can both be used for different things. Like, if u are measuring a shape, you use degrees, and if you are graphing something, you use radians. Real life might happen in radians but without degrees we wouldn’t have compasses and protractors so its good to have both. In comparison, we have arms and legs, all our legs do is help us walk and run, our arms do everything else, that doesn’t mean that God likes our arms more than our legs, we need both of them live life. So in conclusion, God does not like radians more than degrees, he created them both differently. It might seem at times that radians are better than degrees but truth is we need both of them to live life.

Essential questions are due within 1 week of taking the chapter test. They should be at a minimum of a 10 sentence, 1 paragraph response, but may be longer. Each chapter’s essential questions will assemble your “Electronic EQ” project for each semester and will be worth a project grade at the end of the semester. Each chapter will count toward 16 points of the final 100-point project grade. Responses will receive 16 points for excellent work, 10 points for good work, 5 points for mediocre work, and 0 points for no response. Completing all five EQs on time during the semester will earn you an automatic 20 points towards your electronic EQ. Questions? Ask Mr. VanSlooten.
