Where has God been periodic in His creation?

  1. God has been periodic through his creation. All of our loves have ups and downs, similar to a sine or cosine wave. The independent variable in this case is time. Even though humans can relate to this pretty easily, everything that God created is periodic. No one stays at the bottom forever; all of creation has their own way of dealing with horrible situations. Humans can use their brains. Bears and other large animals can use their strength. Quick, agile animals can use their speed to survive. On the other hand we cannot stay at the top forever; all good things must come to an end. We must remember that God has given His creation the ability to survive and most of us do survive. Unlike a sine or cosine wave our lives do not last forever. We still have the ability to survive and that is how God has been periodic in his creation.

  2. God is very periodic in his creation. In nature, especially, He created seasons. Every year, nature’s cycle repeats. The leaves grow, and die, and then grow again. The water cycle, the energy cycle, and many other scientific cycles all show God’s periodic intentions in creation. Even humans have their own cycles and routines in life. We also organize cycles into the institutions and ideas we form: school, our business, and our government. Even television runs in a year-long cycle. There are many more examples of things we have made, and things God has made that are in a periodic cycle, but I can’t think of them. I am very appreciative of the periodic cycles God has made, they’re awesome.

  3. God has been periodic in his creation? In this class I have learned that the word periodic, relates to functions repeating their values in regular intervals. A graph repeats itself after a fixed interval, and so when I see a graph that is f(x) = sin(x) or f(x) = cos(x), both functions are periodic with period 2π. And when it is graphed out, we can see wavelengths, which have periodic intervals. Heartbeats are similar to these wavelengths. This is where God has been periodic. God breathed life into Adam, and he then had a heartbeat, and a heartbeat is very much periodic. A heartbeat is repeated over equal intervals of time. All the animals that God created have life, and they move to the rhythm of heartbeats. Another way he was periodic was that all of his creation was equally spread out and perfect. His creation got better and better when it was put together. Then on the 7th day God rested. In much deeper levels God represent life all together as periodic. God sees the big picture from the first day of creation till forever, infinity. For all I know my life could be a huge periodic function and the life I live on earth is a point on my graph.

  4. God has incorporated periodic designs in many of his creations. For example the seasons occur in the same order periodically year after year. The moon follows the same pattern every single month. It gradually gets bigger until reaching full moon every month, and then becomes smaller again. Specific plants bloom at the same time of the year. For example, tulips bloom during the cold early spring. Sunflowers bloom in the early fall. Humming birds appear at the same time every year during the spring. They then leave as the weather begins to get cooler. The migration patterns of many birds are periodic. In many animals you can see distinct figures that repeat in a pattern, such as the design of a peacock’s feathers or giraffes spots. These are a few examples of patterns within Gods creation.

  5. There are many different ways that God was periodic in his creation. One big way was that he made the earth rotate in very specific ways. We have a new day every time the earth rotates once. We have a new year every time the earth makes a trip all the way around the sun. Another way that God was periodic in his creation was in the creation of seasons. He made it so that every year we have a summer, fall, winter, and spring. The cool thing is that they always come in this order. Another great example of God being periodic is the periodic table of the elements. This definitely has a specific repeating pattern. God made all the elements perfectly and obviously had a plan in mind. God made many things about his creation periodic and we are so used to seeing it that way that we don’t really notice how awesome it is. If we take the time to stop and think it about it, it is really amazing.

  6. God is periodic in all of His creations. The period measurements may not always be set but, everything follows a pattern if you look hard enough. Even things like water have periodic patterns that they follow. Water on the ground must evaporate at some time. After it accumulates in the air as clouds or simply water vapor, it condensates or precipitates back to the ground. This is one period of water. The rotation of the earth around the sun is another example. Every 365.25 days is one period. We call it a year. The four seasons is another example. Winter, spring, summer and fall all follow each other in the exact same order for about the same length. One year again is a period. Life itself is a periodic in a physical sense. When people die, their bodies become part of the ground. The bodies provide nutrients for plants. We eat these plants to live. Eventually, we also die and the cycle continues again. Everything in life is periodic. Spiritually, it is a little different. There are highs and lows which repeat no matter what but eventually, the spirit lives forever or dies forever. The pattern is broken at the end of physical life. In God’s creation however, there is no question that everything is periodic.

  7. There are many things in God’s creation that can are considered periodic. A period, on a cosine wave, is the starting point at the top and the wave makes its way down then back up to where it started. Some of the things that seem periodic can be noticed everyday, others are not noticed or seen. When the earth rotates around the sun it’s a continuous rotation around or a cycle. When something starts out one way, or at a certain point, and goes through a cycle then back to the beginning. While the earth rotates, seasons go by causing the change in seasons and the weather; which we witness. Spring, Summer, fall and winter go by then back to spring again. This is periodic or a cycle, repeating again. As said with seasons, earth rotates, the ocean tide, the moon and other examples can be compared in creation. In many cases life itself could be compared periodically or a big cycle.

Essential questions are due within 1 week of taking the chapter test. They should be at a minimum of a 10 sentence, 1 paragraph response, but may be longer. Each chapter’s essential questions will assemble your “Electronic EQ” project for each semester and will be worth a project grade at the end of the semester. Each chapter will count toward 16 points of the final 100-point project grade. Responses will receive 16 points for excellent work, 10 points for good work, 5 points for mediocre work, and 0 points for no response. Completing all five EQs on time during the semester will earn you an automatic 20 points towards your electronic EQ. Questions? Ask Mr. VanSlooten.
