  1. Life on a Cosine Wave

This story starts at the beginning of every year. On January 1st , everyone is a given a new chance to start clean, therefore; starting at the top of the cosine wave. The top of the cosine wave is when life is going really well, and of course the bottom of the bottom the cosine wave is when life is not going so well. During the course of a year people are given opportunities to better their own life, and the lives of others. These opportunities are represented as the essential points on the cosine wave, but don’t get me wrong, there are many more than 4 opportunities a year for bettering your life and the lives of others. I once heard a quote, and it goes, “All things in life come to an end, whether it be good or bad”, and that is represented by the fluctuation of the cosine wave. I think that the maximum and minimum y-values go between 0 and 1, one being totally good with God, and 0 being not so close. But of course, just like a cosine wave, one always has the chance to come closer to God. The Minimum and Maximum of the x-values are between 0- and however long one lives. At the end of ones life you end periodically on top, therefore ending life close to God.

  2. Life as a Cosine Wave
While Jesus was tempted by the devil, he lived on a crazy cosine wave. The y axis is time and the x axis is his confidence. After Jesus was born, he had so much confidence in his faith and determination. He was excited to start his mission and ready to sacrifice for us. What he did not expect was the devil’s determination to stop Jesus and his plan. The devil tried everything in his power to try and stop Jesus but he was too strong for the devil.
The devil knew if Jesus died, then he would save many people. He tried just about everything to try to imperfect Jesus. The three main waves are when the devil tempted Jesus three times. Jesus would start confident but the devil would come and Jesus’ confidence would go down. Jesus was tempted like never before and he would have enough strength to overcome the devil. Jesus would feel good after he resisted the devil but he would come back. The devil would destroy Jesus confidence but Jesus kept standing against the devil. The devil is not omnipotent so while Jesus was here, I am positive that he never left Jesus alone. He always looked for failure and new ways to distract him. Jesus’ confidence went up and down when he was here on earth. He proved the devil wrong and was/is a great example for people to overcome confidence.

  3. So I started out being born we all do don’t we? Well like the human being I am I was born and for some reason started out on a “high” of emotion the doctors were even weirded out cause I didn’t cry at all. Back at this “high” of emotions its kind of hard to explain you know like a cosine wave in math I just felt good! After years and time goes like a cosine wave we all know it never stays there we all have to come down to this low to where life just seems to hit us in the face in full reality. As my life seem went on my cosine started to change to where I wasn’t full of big high highs and low lows because my life doesn’t have major good things and I am stupid for thinking it does. My life stared to change into having the little things be my happiness or my “high” of emotions like wins in soccer games, and a smile or a good day. To sum up my life, huh another math term, but anyway to sum up my life its like that thing in math class that we never really notice but we do it so we can get a good grade but ya that thing full of some “highs” and some “lows” that cosine wave! Yeah that’s my life that’s what I call a normal day.

  4. Life as a Cosine Wave…
The beginning of a cosine wave starts at the very top of the graph. A cosine wave can be compared to an ordinary day in our life. Now Dory wakes up in the morning, a brand new day ahead of her; this is the beginning of the wave, but if Dory did not have enough sleep the night before the wave drops a bit. As the morning goes on, Dory finds out she has no more milk for her cereal, so the wave drops some more. Then Dory heads to work, she discoveries that her desk is filled with work, the wave drops all the way to the bottom. Dory looks at her email and receives a funny message from her co-worker; this cheers her up a bit and brings the wave up. Then Dory goes on a date that night, they go to Dave’s & Buster’s. This makes her day and brings the wave up a lot. Dory gets a full eight hours of sleep that night. She then wakes ups with a brand new day ahead of her. A new day always starts at the top especially for Dory.
This is how a cosine wave can work in our daily lives. We have our ups and downs. But we always manage to get to the top at the end of every day.

  5. Once upon a time, There was a boy named Jimmy. Jimmy lived on a cosine wave. everyday, Jimmy would wake up, go to school, come home, do his homework, watch tv, and then go to bed. However, because he lived on a cosine wave, he did the exact same thing every day of every month of every year. a cosine wave is infinite, there is no way of doing anything different anytime because cosine waves dont end. He cant learn anything new or think anything new because it is exactly the same everyday. he even cant get closer to God. If he cant learn anything new, how can he get closer to God. its impossible for Jimmy to get closer to God. he Cannot get closer to God.

  6. Life on a Cosine Wave
Life is very unpredictable, but for one little man who lived in the country, it was very much like a cosine wave. He awoke up, did some farm work which was the height of his graph, and went to sleep which was the low. This constant life went on for a very long time, until the frequency of the wave increased a lot. He got a job opportunity as a telemarketer in a nearby town. He left and his life became more interesting from then on. He met an elf who lived in the closet and did all the calling and real work for the company while everyone else went on youtube all day long. He thought this wasnt right. The wave turned into a crazy huge wave as he started working twice as hard and made everyone join. It turned out that the elf had been stolen from santas workshop. He saved the day and his wave became a lot longer. YAY!

  7. It’s a Friday morning and Judy is ready for the day. Judy is a math nerd and always thinks in math terms. It’s just an ordinary Friday and everyone is grateful that the week is over. The day starts off great when Judy goes to work. Her coworkers are happy and ready to start the day. The day is turning out amazing for Judy. Then, they take a turn for the worse. Judy trips and spills coffee all over her new shirt! Next, as she's walking to go get it cleaned, she steps into a box of feathers. Now she has feathers flying everywhere and the whole office is laughing at her. Then, her day and attitude falls. She’s down in the dumps now at her lowest point of the day, waiting for the clock to strike 3 so she can leave. At 2:30, her friend comes and gives her a hug, making her feel a lot better. Then at 2:45, she receives flowers from another friend. Her day starts to look up. Then at 3, as she’s ready to leave, all of her coworkers give her chocolate! The day ended with chocolate, flowers, and a lot of love. Judy got her mind wandering and her math skills were kicking in. She thought that today was just like a cosine graph! It started out at the top like how she was happy and ready to go. Then it started dropping just like on a graph. Finally, her day ended looking a lot better going up. Life for Judy is like a rollercoaster, up’s and down’s, but she can handle it, just like a cosine graph.

  8. Life On A Cosine Wave...
I was only 5 months old when i first saw the Sine (small coaster). But i wasn't interested in the Sine. My life was taken over by the thought of continuous flow of the Cosine ( bigger coaster). My stomach creeped by the idea of such a big drop. Not old enough to ride it, i watched many one year old children enjoy the up and down fun that the Cosine provided. i always thought to myself, "soon it will be my turn." Finally it was!! I was turning 1 and the only thing on my mind was the Cosine. I nervously stood at the front of the line, awaiting my turn. It was the trill of my life. Going down the slope i felt like i was becoming younger then getting older. The Cosine was the best ride EVER!!

  9. “Life on a Cosine Wave”
Life is made of success and failure. The line represents Lonnie’s life. Lonnie is a regular person that tries everyday to follow what he reads about in his Bible. Time is on the x-axis and God’s plan for Lonnie is on the y-axis. He has read that God has a unique calling that can only be measured by how well Lonnie can fulfill his purpose in life. Well, each morning he starts invigorated by what he reads in the Word of God. But, today was different. Lonnie figured his calling was helping people daily with what they needed. Today he screwed up beyond he could ever have imagined. He felt as if there was no way for him to redeem himself, but God was watching Lonnie and he sent someone to help him back up. Lonnie’s older Victor came back from college to visit the family. Victor noticed right away that something was wrong. Lonnie explained what selfish thing he has done and Victor explained to his little brother that people are not perfect. Life is like a cosine way. When people fall it is represented by the downward curve on the graph. In the Bible it says: “A righteous man falls seven times and gets back up.” Victor said, “ it’s a sin not to get back up even though they fail God in some way.” What matters most is the courage to get back up and try again. Victor said, “We learn through our failure and by learning what we shouldn’t do we can begin the upward curve to an asymptote that humans will never be able to reach while on earth: perfect unity with God.”

  10. Life on a cosine wave.
Once upon a time there was a snake named Moe. Moe looked like a cosine wave and that’s how he got his name. One day it was Moe’s first day of school. Moe was very nervous because he knew that he was different from all of the other snakes. When Moe arrived at school all the little snakes laughed and laughed at him because he looked different and was a different shape. Moe was very sad and didn’t ever want to go back to school. Moe packed all of is belongings and wrote a letter to his parents that he was running away from home. Before he left he looked in the mirror and knew that nobody would ever be friends with a weird shaped snake. When Moe’s parents came back they found the letter and knew exactly where he was going because he goes to the same place every time he is sad. They found Moe and convinced him to go back to school. Moe was nervous because he knew that all of the little snakes were going to laugh at him, but he knew that it doesn’t matter what he looks like and that they have to like him the way he is. When Moe arrived at school he saw this very odd kid snake. Moe knew that the odd kid snake was different and that he was different too, so he went to go talk to her. When Moe talked to the snake he found out that the odd snake was shaped like a sin wave and her name was Sidd. Moe and Sidd were best friends forever and they lived happily ever after.
Moe’s life was like a cosine wave. It started from the top when he was happy and started to descend when he arrived at school. Then it got to his lowest point when he was running away from home. Then it started to climb back up when he goes back to school and sees another odd snake. Then Moe reaches the top again when he meets Sidd.

  11. Mr. Goodman Migillicuddi was a man of great fortune, and faith. He had everything that he ever wanted. Mr. Migillicuddi worked in a factory as a CEO. He then met a beautiful woman whom he asked to marry, but then he found out that she was a non-believer and promised that he would never date a non-believer. He then broke the marriage off and went back to work where they told him that he couldn’t work there anymore because of the shortage of funding. After all of these troubling situations he asked God for help and to enter his life. Sitting in church, Mr. Goodman was next to Mr. Bossley Jones, telling him of the troubles that have been plaguing him and his relationship with God. Mr. Bossley Jones then told Mr. Migillicuddi that God has a plan for him and maybe loosing that job is going to lead you into a better path than you were on before. Mr. Jones then told him of a job offer and that he would start next week. Just as things were getting great, Mr. Jones’ sister had been searching for the love of her life and decided to meet Mr. Goodman. They talked and soon were happily married to each other. As every marriage it was not a breeze in the park and they defiantly had ups and downs. Mr. Goodman Migillicuddi is like the living on a cosine wave.

  12. my cosine wave is made of snow. it is sort of like a big, giant ski resort where all day long people ride to the top of each period on ski lifts and ski down to the bottom. the cosine wave ski resort is called "THE WHOOP-DI-DO SKI RESORT." the resort gets its name from the steep climbs and equally steep drop off's formed by its steep slopes. THE WHOOP-DI-DO SKI RESORT is located in the Trigometric Mountain Range. this ski resort is unique in that it is composed entirely of cosine wave like ski runs. there are other resorts in the Trigometric Mountain Range with slopes made out of sine waves, as well. one of the most popular of these diverse resorts is the YO-DA-LAY-DI-WHO TERRAIN PARK AND SKI RESORT. this resort offers more difficult and diverse runs than does the WHOOP-DI-DO RESORT. so, why dont ya grab your heavy winter clothing, buy a hot cup of hot cocoa and hit the slopes of the Trigometric Range.
